Spring is so shy this year in Paris that I almost gave up… Although Instagram is blossoming with Parisian flowers, temperatures outside can depress even the strongest of us. Shops are tempting us with floral dresses but the real questions is:
What to wear between the seasons? How can we be « chic in Spring » when our winter jacket is still looking like a good option for a cold morning?
RED TRENCH COAT FOR SPRING – PERFECT OPTION FOR PARISIAN CHIC
A trench coat is a classic and I will always repeat that it’s one of those clothes that build your wardrobe in the blink of an eye. Remember Monica from « Friends » saying to Chandler « This boots are amazing – I can wear them with everything! »
Well… you can also say this about a trench coat. I wear it with boots, ballerinas and heels. It goes well with dresses and pants. I have 3 trench coats in my wardrobe and I could have 3 more!
CATHERINE DENEUVE, AUDREY HEPBURN AND JACKIE KENNEDY WERE AMONG THOSE AMAZING WOMEN GLIDING ON PARISIAN BOULVARDS WEARING A TRENCH
Can we ask for a better recommendation?
WHY SHOULD YOU CONSIDER ADDIND A RED TRENCH COAT TO YOUR WARDROBE?
Let me be honest with you: living in Paris is changing not only our character, but also our style. You want to be free to wear something that will make you look put together. At the same time, you want to add a touch of de la feminité to your style.
This is why I have a growing collection of trench coats. This red one, I have found it in STRADIVARIUS. It caught my eye, because of my latest « red color obsession » that you could see on my Instagram account.
It pairs well with my black and dark navy jeans. It adds color and makes me feel more energetic. I will wear it not only for Spring but also for autumn season.
RED TRENCH FOR SPRING 2018: OSEZ – AS THE FRENCH SAY – DON’T BE SCARED
I know what you are thinking. Wearing red is not easy. It makes you so visible on the street. Maybe you feel a little shy wearing red….?
Believe me, I was there too!
Parisiennes are famous for wearing dark colors. This is not colorful London or relaxed Berlin. You will not see many people wearing bright colors. But…. there is a moment when you want to try something new. Did you know there is a « red dress effect »? Apparently, people wearing red are perceived as more powerful and attractive.
So, « osez » !
I did, and I enjoy my red trench coat while strolling on Parisian streets….
P.S. I would like to say BIG thank you to Rachael Laporte for finding time for me and shooting photos! Rachael works as a photographer in Paris and I encourage all my readers to see her amazing portfolio and follow her on Instagram.
